This is our fourth year since Flaming Phoenix has risen out of the ashes. Over the course of the years, we've been nominated or won the Motivate Award, the Design Award, the Control Award, the Connect Award and the Inspire Award.
We love to participate and share our love for STEM with our surrounding community and spread the joy of FIRST.

Super fly and never shy, Christy is a designer, builder, and cheerleader for the team. As a 7 year veteran, she teaches new team members how to design using the engineering method and be confident in their style and abilities.
She is currently a junior at UHS.
Programmer Extraordinaire! This year marks Austin’s 7th year as a part of FIRST, and as the team’s main programmer, he has taken on the task of teaching the younger team members how to program so that the team will be able to remain after he graduates. Currently, he is a junior at Unionville High School.
Captain Nanometer reporting for duty! Justin is in his 8th year as a part of FIRST and fourth year on Flaming Phoenix as the Mechanical Team Captain. With his eye for extreme detail, he works with the mechanical team to lead the CAD, Design, and Building of the robot. Outside of robotics, Justin, a junior at UHS, uses his keen eye for photography, and enjoys playing violin and singing.
A third year team member, Matthew enjoys building and experimenting with parts, and he is a crucial part of the build and design team. Outside of robotics, Matthew participates in BSA, plays golf and drums, and teaches Tang Soo Doo karate. He is 9th grade at UHS high school.
Rachel is a second year member of Flaming Phoenix this year, and she’s excited to begin her foray into programming. She’ll also work on the build and sponsorship teams, and she is ready for another season of competition to be underway. Besides robotics, Rachel loves singing and writing.
Ansh is a second year team member of Flaming Phoenix this year. He is interested in building, prototyping and CAD,and loves driving. Ansh also does Speech and Debate. He plays piano and violin, and does Cross Country.
As a second year member, Brandon has a massive amount of experience to work off of. He is excited to continue his work in programming and to assume more roles in the team. Outside of robotics, he loves to sing, play his instrument, and sleep.
This is Aryan’s first year of FTC but third year of FIRST. Aryan is interested in Programming. He participates in Speech and Debate and runs Cross Country. He plays the piano and the Alto saxophone. He enjoys Math and other subjects, including tech-ed.
